2. Information We Collect
To process your food orders and ensure accurate delivery, we may collect:
- Contact Information: Mobile phone number (used for OTP sign-in, account identification, and order verification), your name, and delivery address.
- Location Information: Foreground location/GPS data (only when permitted by you) to help auto-detect your delivery address and route orders efficiently.
- Order & Transaction Records: Selected food items, delivery preferences, order totals, and chosen payment method (UPI / Cash on Delivery).
- Device & Crash Diagnostics: App performance metrics, operating system version, and crash logs collected via Firebase to improve app stability.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To authenticate your identity via phone number verification.
- To prepare, fulfill, and deliver your food orders.
- To send order status updates and delivery communication.
- To troubleshoot app crashes and optimize customer experience.
Our Policy: We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Services & Payment Security
We work with trusted third-party providers to operate our app:
- Firebase (Google): Used for secure OTP authentication, database storage, and Crashlytics stability reporting.
- UPI & Payment Apps: Payments are processed securely through installed UPI applications or official gateways. Cafe Talab does not collect or store your bank passwords, UPI PINs, or card details.
5. Account & Data Deletion
In accordance with Google Play developer policies, Cafe Talab provides clear paths for users to delete their account and associated data:
How to Request Account Deletion
- In-App Deletion: Open the Cafe Talab app, navigate to Profile / Settings, and tap Delete Account to permanently remove your profile.
- Email Request: Send an email from your registered address to cafetalab2023@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include your registered 10-digit mobile number.
- WhatsApp Support: Message us at +91 9322653045 requesting account deletion.
What gets deleted:
- Your phone number, profile name, saved addresses, and authentication records are permanently erased from our active database within 7 business days of verification.
What may be retained:
- Anonymized financial order records may be retained for up to 90 days solely to comply with accounting, tax, and legal requirements, after which they are permanently expunged.
